Projects that didn't make it, and why.

  • Forex trading app2021–2023An auto-trading app for forex. Had the idea for three years, starting freshman year, and never got it working.Cause of death: Too complex for what I knew at the time, and once AI came about it didn't feel like the challenge worth chasing. No passion left for it.
  • Growth for ads2026, two monthsA platform to automate ad creation and optimisation, built with a group of friends.Cause of death: Feedback from our YC and a16z interviews was that it wasn't the right direction. We listened.
  • JustFAANG2025–2026, about six monthsA web-based job copilot for software engineers. Started because I was already helping people land jobs and prep for interviews.Cause of death: The AI was too expensive to run. That problem is why Verlon exists.
